MUSIC

Through my songwriting, I hope to inspire a deeper connection with the natural world by inviting listeners to slow down, listen, and recognize their place within living systems. My music is rooted in care for the Earth and is meant to evoke reflection, emotional resonance, and a sense of responsibility, encouraging change through empathy rather than urgency alone. By sharing ecological stories through sound and lyric, I aim to nurture awareness, protection, and conservation grounded in relationship and respect.

This is an original song of mine that I had the opportunity to present at the 2024 Environmental Justice and Advocacy Symposium at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. I created the music video as well, as another create way to spark emotional connection to the current environmental crisis. A lot of my writing is centered around the relationship between humans and the rest of the natural world. I write with this intention not only to inspire deeper attachment to nature, but also because it the language I most easily know; to speak in words that are carried by the wind, to feel in colors of sun on morning river, to love as freely as the roar of oceans crashing and as certainly as the returning of spring after the freeze of endless winter. This is my family. All around and all within. It is my hope that by speaking this language to those who have not yet had a chance to listen, they will learn to understand these words and grow a desire to hear them ring through all that they know.
